Like many of us, I’ve experienced struggles along my journey through life which have led me to the place I am today. Ten years ago I was lifeless and in a place of darkness, restricting myself from food and destroying my relationship with my body for a peace of mind I never found. Since then, it’s been a roller coaster of achievements paired with rock bottoms along this ever-changing pathway called life.
Through my journey living with Depression, Anxiety and Anorexia Nervosa, I quickly discovered something had to change and I realised my burning passion for holistic health and nutrition. It was also this journey that led me to becoming a Clinical Nutritionist (BHSc) and Yoga Instructor allowing me to work with others throughout their struggles. And trust me when I say I was the last person you’d expect to be writing a recipe book 10 years ago, ask anyone.
I truly do believe in food as medicine not only for the body, but the mind and soul too. Food is fuel, food is comfort and food is nourishment. The recipes I’ve created here embody these three aspects so you’re able to go back to simplicity and enjoy food again. This recipe book provides you with the winter warmers that set you up for a night in with loved ones watching your favourite film, just as I would choose any night of the week.
